“Maximizing Your Collegiate Journey As A Virtual College Student!” – Five Questions That Every Virtual College Student Should Ask Themselves if they Desire to Thrive and Succeed as a Virtual College Student!

In a study that was done by Eric P. Bettinger, Lindsay Fox, Susana Loeb, and Eric Taylor on the impact of virtual learning on student success, they found that taking a course online instead of in-person not only reduces success and progress in college, but various challenges that are created because of virtual learning lead to poorer outcomes for students in online classes.

To combat these challenges, Larry DeBrock, Norma Scagnoli and Fataneh Taghaboni-Dutta wrote an article in “Inside Higher Ed” and suggested that professors increase their planning time, run useful office hours online, create strict disciplines, and provide lots of energy with their online classes.

Consequently, although administrators and professors can have a huge impact on the success of virtual college students, based on Dr. Joshua Fredenburg’s experiences as a traditional and virtual college student, he has found that there are certain adjustments that students must make in order to thrive and succeed as a virtual college student.  With experience as a traditional and virtual college student, Dr. Fredenburg has discovered some key things that college students must be aware of if they are going to attain academic and collegiate success as a virtual college student.

In this dynamic program for students who are making the transition from being a traditional college student to a virtual/hybrid college student, Dr. Fredenburg provides students with a set of practical and applicable strategies that he used in his experiences as a virtual doctoral college student to help students maximize their virtual collegiate journey virtually and attain academic, personal, and leadership success.
